Grammy winning trumpeter Chris Botti has been one of the most popular instrumentalists in the world for nearly three decades. Blending jazz, classical, pop, and cinematic influences, Botti has crafted a signature sound that’s earned him Gold and Platinum albums, multiple chart-topping releases, and sold-out performances across the globe. His dynamic career includes collaborations with an astonishing range of artists—Sting, Paul Simon, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Andrea Bocelli, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Yo-Yo Ma, and many others.

Botti’s performances have graced some of the most prestigious stages in the world, from Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl to the Sydney Opera House. His lush, lyrical trumpet playing and commanding stage presence have made him a fixture of both jazz and adult contemporary music, appealing to a wide audience and consistently drawing enthusiastic crowds worldwide.

With the release of “Vol. 1″—his debut album on the iconic Blue Note Records—Botti embarks on a creative rebirth, returning to his roots in acoustic jazz and classic standards. Produced by 16-time GRAMMY winner David Foster, the album strips away orchestral arrangements and special guests in favor of intimate, emotionally rich interpretations of timeless songs like “Danny Boy,” “My Funny Valentine,” and Miles Davis’ “Blue in Green.”

The album features a stellar lineup of collaborators, including violinist Joshua Bell, guitarist Gilad Hekselman, pianist Taylor Eigsti, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, and members of Botti’s world-class touring band. It also includes contributions from singer-songwriter John Splithoff and classical and jazz musicians from around the world.

“Vol. 1” is a showcase of Botti’s artistry at its most refined—melodic, expressive, and cinematic. While longtime fans will recognize his glowing tone and emotional depth, the album marks a bold new chapter in his career. The title hints at more to come, signaling that this is only the beginning of an exciting new era for one of jazz’s most enduring stars.
