Luz is a fierce and fearless woman who has used her diverse background and life experiences to carve out a thriving career in comedy. Luz recently won the Ladies of Laughter Westchester chapter competition, advancing to the NYC finale, and she is also the voice behind “Dear Luz,” a monthly advice column in “Westchester’s Connect To Magazine,” where her wit and insight shine through.

As the Founder of Hard Headed Comedy™ since 2018, she has passionately produced live and streamed showcases featuring a dynamic mix of established and emerging talent. In March 2020, she curated the unforgettable “Still Standing Monologues,” quickly becoming a beloved fixture in the LGBTQIA and Women in Comedy community. In 2021, she produced “Queerlarious,” a production that has graced Westchester Pride for three consecutive years, further solidifying her reputation for innovative and inclusive standup. Her latest venture, Bluntness Comedy, launched in 2023, unites the cannabis and comedy realms for an evening of unparalleled laughter and relaxation. Through her work, Luz strives to create opportunities for her colleagues to perfect their craft and deliver much-needed laughter to audiences worldwide.
