Women Aren’t Funny Comedy Series is an all-female comedy series the first Wednesday of every month, brought to you by local favorite – Erin Harkes! Erin has won Best Comedian in the Capital Region multiple times over the last decade, most recently by the Times Union 2023 Reader’s Poll.

HEADLINER – ASHLEY AUSTIN MORRIS

Ashley Austin Morris is an Actor, Comedian and Writer and can be seen in the new CBS hit THE BITE. Her other TV credits include: Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show (Netflix), Tommy (CBS), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon), and Prodigal Son (FOX). Ashley Recently joined the cast of the soon to be announced Shonda Rhimes series for Netflix and just wrapped The Other Two on Comedy Central.

Ashley had a recurring role on A&E’s digital series, Think Tank, and has been featured as a guest star on Murphy Brown (CBS 2018), The Big Bang Theory (CBS), The Good Wife (CBS), Desperate Housewives (ABC), Ugly Betty (ABC), and many more. She has also appeared on Divorce (HBO), and The Deuce (HBO). Ashley is the only actress ever to not be featured on Law and Order! EVER!

OPENERS – JILL WEINER & ELLIE FRIDAY-HOHMAN

Born in Atlanta, GA, matured in San Francisco and now residing in New York City, Jill Weiner is a comedian and writer. Jill’s jokes appeared on “America’s Got Talent.” Jill participated in the New York Comedy Festival, the Come and Take it Festival in Houston, TX, placed second in the Trial by Laughter comedy festival and performed at the Boston Comedy Festival. With her pal Jeffrey Emerson she co-produces and co-hosts a weekly, standing-room-only comedy show in Williamsburg called Laf Dance Saloon. She is also the first female champion of the New York City based roast battle, Comedy Fight Club.

She performs nationally, often featuring for comedian Caitlin Peluffo, and can be seen regularly at New York Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, and Caroline’s.

When not on stage you can catch Jill slurping soup at one of New York’s hottest diners.

Ellie Friday-Hohman is making her comedy debut for this exciting show! Ellie is just eleven years old and is in sixth grade. She enjoys acting, rocking out on the drums and writing. She’s kept her parents in stitches for years, and is excited to try her hand at spreading joy and laughter to a live audience!
